The project began with the demolition of an existing raised, enclosed deck that stepped down to a lower-level jacuzzi area. While the original layout had served the homeowners for years, it no longer met their needs for accessibility, safety, or visual continuity.
Once the original structure was carefully dismantled, the team uncovered an important structural issue: the entire lower section of the deck required complete reframing. Although this discovery was unexpected, addressing it was essential to ensure long-term durability and code compliance. The lower deck was fully re-framed and seamlessly tied into the existing upper structure, bringing the entire deck system to a single, consistent elevation.
