Blending Hardscape and Softscape for Impact

The project involved extensive site preparation and thoughtful use of material layering. Coquina rock, boulders, Colorado River Jack stone, and brown pea gravel were strategically placed to define new beds, frame seating areas, and provide visual texture throughout the property. We incorporated large-format pavers to create new walkways and a more direct, accessible route between the front drive and parking lot—improving both aesthetics and functionality for residents. To complement the hardscape elements, we installed vibrant new plantings including Blue Daze, fountain grass, and oyster plants—each chosen for coastal resilience and visual appeal. Drip irrigation was installed throughout the renovated beds to ensure consistent watering without excess runoff.

One of the most impactful changes was the addition of small retaining walls around the existing palm trees, giving the beds structure while preserving mature plant material. Rock mulch was added throughout the entryway to reduce maintenance needs and tie together the natural elements. From the paver cuts to the lighting layout, attention to detail was a priority at every stage.
